When Company Founder John Otero began working as a food broker, he studied the needs of the supermarket industry and realized that portions of the New York metropolitan market would benefit from a quality distribution provider of circulars. In 1995, Otero launched Advertisement Carriers Enterprises, known as ACE, the first business under the Otero & Companies umbrella. Today, ACE handles and delivers nearly half-a-billion advertising pieces each year, and also offers digital marketing services to meet the changing needs of its customers.
As a result of the connections Otero made while working in the supermarket industry, in 2017, he was welcomed as a partner at Mo Ice, a major ice distribution company and the second company to become part of Otero & Companies. With Otero’s strategic direction, Mo Ice streamlined operations and grew its client base and profits. The business now serves all of the Bronx and Manhattan, and is still growing.
